Who is Jesus?

John the Baptist is genuine in his desire to find out if Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus’ reply respects his sincerity. In Advent we too are waiting for the Messiah and though we may have known him for many years, it is a good time to think more deeply about who Jesus was and is. Reading the Gospels and pondering the words and deeds of Jesus Christ we can deepen our relationship with him so that when Christmas comes we will be able to celebrate with joy the new coming of Christ in our hearts and lives.
