Littleness in daily life

Much of discipleship is dutiful. We carry out daily life as best we can. It is not easy loving our ordinariness into holiness. From the Eucharist we receive the strength to serve others in ways that are not praised, nor recorded by history. God sees all this and is pleased even though we may not feel God’s pleasure. In prayer it is good to open ourselves up to God in a way that allows God to touch us and support us in our ordinariness.
