The credibility of Jesus

By the time Luke wrote his Gospel, about 70-80AD, the temple in Jerusalem no longer existed. It had been destroyed by the Roman armies in retribution for an uprising by Jewish rebels. And it remains destroyed until this day. Knowing this, Luke was indicating to his readers the trustworthiness of Jesus. The logic of Luke’s argument is simple - if this has come to pass, then so will everything else that Jesus spoke of. In our heart of hearts, do we believe that all Jesus promised will come to pass?
