My strength comes from God

Jesus heals on the Sabbath, once again incurring the fury of his enemies. Over and over again we see that, in Jesus, compassionate love far surpasses the prescriptions of the law. Did the words of the psalmist strengthen him at this moment and at so many others where he experienced hatred and condemnation? “God is my mighty rock, my stronghold”. Do we have the inner freedom that Jesus had, freedom to do what is right, to be compassionate when others condemn? Does our strength at these moments come from God?
