Blessed are those who ask questions! The wonderful gift of Thomas is that he needs convincing, he needs to be shown – reading about the Lord’s resurrection, or hearing about it, is simply not enough for him – a fact that can make him easily misunderstood. I am pleased Thomas wavers in his faith because that makes him even more loveable and real.

Just as we all learn differently - we come to faith differently – on different paths, at different times, by different temperaments and through differing experiences. That is why a questioning faith, the faith of Thomas, can be important as we mature faith into adult faith in Christ.
