Loving prayer

Jesus often discussed everyday subjects. Fishing, food, sheep, bread, wine. Our everyday lives interest him. We needn't wait for supernatural experiences before praying. When Jesus asked Peter three times, “do you care for me, love me, above everything else?”, he knew Peter had denied him three times, during the Passion. But Peter would lead the Church, caring for all, feeding the sheep, the shearlings - those who had been shorn of all their protection, and would feed the lambs too. Just as Peter's net had been overloaded, but did not break, so the Church will be stressed but will not break. We are the Church.
