Take up your cross

The central mystery of our faith is that goodness has conquered sin and that life has conquered death. It is done through the cross. Christ has gone before us and shown us the way. We too need to shoulder our crosses and not run away from them through worldly distractions which do not last. To shoulder our cross is to acknowledge our sufferings and weaknesses as part of life, and then to keep walking, trusting in the resurrection.
