Not me, surely?

In this exchange between Pilate and Jesus, Pilate has such a fixed world view he cannot possibly understand the truth of Jesus’ message.

This inability to listen to ‘my voice’ is not restricted to Pilate. Apostles, saints, church leaders -- all have been just as stubborn at times. Of course, we couldn’t possibly be stubborn ourselves. Could we?
