Believe in God’s goodness

Simon the Pharisee invites Jesus to the table. Simon offers minimal hospitality. In contrast, the woman has been unselfconsciously generous in her display of respect and affection for Jesus. She is humble and contrite. She can rejoice because her past has been accepted and transformed by God. She can travel in the way of the Lord knowing that she is forgiven and loved.

The history of Christianity in Korea is one of bloodshed. The fruitfulness that can be seen there today is directly linked to the faithfulness of the lay-centred Church.
