The increasing gift

This is not a ‘feel good’ story but is in fact tragic. Perhaps what we are being invited to reflect upon is that in the spiritual world there is a differing logic from physical reality. This parable is about the unfolding of truth of a spiritual law, with two servants benefitting and the third not. God who is love gives of himself and gifts us the Spirit. The question is, how do I cooperate with this gift of the Spirit? Two of the servants cooperated well and so the Spirit increased. The Spirit increases in us when we are good news for one another.
