Humble pie

It’s a bit messy isn’t it. “Whoever makes himself great will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be made great.” What a theory! It picks us up and turns us upside down. The world teaches us that the recipe to become a leader is to put yourself first and stand at the front. Jesus teaches us that the recipe for being a leader is to put yourself last and stand behind others…supporting them. Helping them. Loving them. Let’s choose Jesus’ recipe. Even if it does resemble upside down cake.
