Jeremiah 14:17-22; Psalm 79; Matthew 13:36-43

For the greater glory of God

After his conversion from a military life to following the way of the gospels, Ignatius travelled overland on pilgrimage from his native Spain to Jerusalem. He must frequently have prayed Psalm 79 - Lord will you be angry forever? Tirelessly he prayed, reflected on the scriptures and shared with like-minded persons. Let us pray for the courage and single-mindedness in our daily labours to do all "for the greater glory of God" inspired by the motto of Ignatius.
