Be my hands and my feet

Today's gospel passage shows Jesus constantly on the move - teaching, proclaiming and healing. Jesus was moved with compassion for the people he was meeting. A walk down our street or a read of the daily newspaper gives us a glimpse of today's lost and hurting people. Jesus is asking us to be of service to someone in need, to be instruments of peace and workers of mercy in our world. At times we may be overwhelmed by the task - even contradicted or calumniated as Jesus was. Jesus promised to be with us until the end of time.
