Here it comes again

How often does Jesus condemn judgemental language? I haven’t counted, but as a lover of the gospels, I keep tripping over it. It’s not a comfortable teaching. Jesus says it in many ways and with strong language, which is the Aramaic way of stressing importance. In Judaism it is said that the soul is always pure but the soul wears three garments – thought, word and deed. These garments get soiled and need regular ’washing.’ I occasionally launder word and deed, but I think I should begin with judgemental thoughts.
