This water comes from the sanctuary
Ezekiel’s vision of the water flowing in abundance from the Temple Sanctuary along the parched Arabah Valley to the sea, invigorating plant and animal-life as it flowed, is an image of God’s presence, abundance, freshness, and life amidst his creation. John’s Gospel presents the water in the Sheep Pool of the Temple as still and lifeless; and Jesus, the new Temple, as the living water who heals and restores life in abundance. Jesus healed the cripple and restored life to his soul.
Ask Jesus to restore to abundant life the desert in your soul.
