THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT
DAY OF PRAYER FOR CHILDREN

Exodus 20:1-17; Psalm 19:8-11;
1 Corinthians 1:22-25; John 2:13-25

Lord, you have the words of everlasting life

Today, we pray for children. The first reading outlines God’s plan for civilised living. The 10 Commandments are the building blocks for family and civic life, protecting all members of society, including the vulnerable. When God’s plan is rejected, civilised life unravels, and the small, the weak and the voiceless are endangered.
With Mary beside you, pray that mothers and fathers everywhere will protect their children ‘the fruit of the womb’– born and unborn – and raise them in God’s love.
