Return of a sinner
Jesus came to call sinners to return to God’s way.
God’s way is not a way of lip-service at rituals or pointing out the splinter in our sibling’s eye, while not noticing the plank in our own!
If the sinner returns to God’s way there ought to be great rejoicing among God’s people.
But how shall the sinner return to God?
The sinner returns to God by doing away with the yoke of oppression and cruelty, by doing away with the clenched fist of anger and vengeance, and by doing away with the wicked word of gossip, back-biting and deceit.
