Nothing can separate us from the love of God
At times our world seems to be in chaos. Occasionally that turmoil is experienced within. We may feel anxious, hopeless and unloved. Those caring for us share our pain. Today’s Gospel tells us that not even the chaotic situation described could separate this sick man from the healing words of Jesus. Across the chasm separating him from the community, he senses that Jesus understands his cry. Jesus understood his darkness and is the only one who can truly say to us, “I know how you feel.” Lord, please bring healing to my pain of mind and body.
