Unity or division
“If a household is divided against itself, that household can never stand,” says Jesus. We are a mixture aren’t we? We value people who stand on their own two feet. Yet we need to work together. If you’re in a small boat in choppy seas you go up and down, side to side and you say “Get me to dry land!” Sometimes life with a group of people or a family is like that. In those rough seas we are asked to lovingly pilot the group to calmer waters. Even at the best of times we are called to unite the household.
