I belong in the story
It might seem to be a strange thing to say, but John’s Gospel is written for the reader and listener. That’s us. We are the people in the stories. These are written so that we might believe and so find eternal life. Jesus asks us, “What do you want?” We ask “Where do you live?” And he replies, “Come and see.” Can you picture yourself following Jesus and going to his home? After he’s boiled the billy and handed out the biscuits, can you imagine yourself just opening your heart to him? What does he say? How do you reply?
