A ‘house of prayer’

Jesus referred to ‘his house’ – the Temple - as a house of prayer. Probably we would think of our own church similarly. It is where we gather at least weekly to pray together. But we might also have a special place in our own homes where we can be quiet and less distracted. A favourite picture or statue might help. So, our own home can be a ‘house of prayer,’ where God and I can meet and be present to each other.
