ST LUKE, EVANGELIST

Timothy 4:10-17; Psalm 145; Luke 10: 1-9

To become a blessing

We are to be a blessing. Jesus asks us to first bless before we do anything else. We are to be women and men of prayer, living our lives knowing that the kingdom of God has drawn near to us. Always, no matter what might be happening, can we step back for just a moment and take a 'second look' and notice the presence of God. Whenever we do notice God’s presence, our presence becomes a blessing for others. This day we are called to be mindful that before we do anything else, answer the door, emails, or visit someone in grief, we are to be a blessing.
