Something better

When I am tempted to be proud of my Catholic life I need to remember the humility Jesus Christ showed on the Cross. The sacrifices that I choose to make in an attempt to follow Jesus Christ are not nearly so difficult to live through as the sacrifices that God chooses for me. God asks me to sacrifice my pride to make room for something better. The sacrifice of the Cross is not hidden from me and it behoves me to look upon it frequently to stop my pride giving me a false impression of myself.
