Identity

Who do you say I am? The question of Jesus is asked of his followers every day. Who is Jesus to me, has to beat a constant rhythm in my life, for I will meet Jesus in countless guises. My parent, my teacher, my partner, the stranger in the street, the bus driver, the telephone market surveyor, the queue-jumper…. Let my prayer response always be: You are the Christ. You are the One who empowers my faith and my motivation. You place yourself in my path to reveal my heart to myself that I might identify it with yours. Amen.
