The treasure of God’s love

In the parable of the buried treasure, the finder discovers the treasure unexpectedly while the merchant has been searching long and carefully for the precious pearl. These different paths lead to joy and to a total response of freedom to sell all to possess what they value and desire. These parables describe the joy and freedom of those who catch a glimpse of the reign of God. This captures the core of Christian spirituality. Am I, too, attracted by God’s love above all other concerns?
