I have conquered the world

In today's Gospel reading we are reminded that Jesus foretold that his followers would be persecuted. Daily we hear that Christians in many countries are being tortured, killed or forced to seek refuge away from their homelands. Let us open our hearts to Jesus' words, 'I have conquered the world,' and being strengthened by this message, seriously consider what we can do to assist our fellow Christians, so they know they are not abandoned.
