We set the bar

A very sobering admonition by Jesus in today’s Gospel: ‘…. the standard you use will be the standard used for you.’ Jesus repeats this in his model prayer: ‘Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.’ Therefore as I judge others, so will God judge me; as I condemn others, so will God condemn me; as I forgive others, so will I be forgiven.
