Through reconciliation to unity

Everything is one. Unity is the essence of all that exists. Unity is relationship. The Trinity is perfect relationship, and thus perfect unity. Each of us is made in God’s ‘image and likeness’. That means we too are made to be in perfect relationship and unity: unity with God, unity with our neighbour and all creation. When we sin we fracture that unity, that relationship. Through repentance, by our sharing in Christ’s perfect reconciliation on the cross, we are reconciled with God, with our neighbour and with creation. Repentance and reconciliation are an essential and continuous process in our life journey.
