No eye has seen

With just a few loaves of bread, Jesus fed the crowds who followed him. The miracle and its meaning were beyond the comprehension of those who witnessed it. In that miracle, Jesus gave us a foretaste of what he would give us in the Eucharist. Like the miracle of the loaves, the meaning of the Eucharist is beyond our human understanding and imagining. It challenges us to go beyond ourselves. It takes us to the place of spirit and soul and sacrament. Mystery helps us touch the place of God. It prompts us to bow our heads in prayer.
