Leaving home

There is a sadness and an excitement when it is time for one of the family to leave home for a new college or a new career or a new life experience. It is sad because family life is left behind. It is exciting because what lies ahead is an opportunity to discover and develop some God-given talents that were unable to emerge at home. When Jesus returned home during his time of public ministry, his own people could not believe how he had changed. So let us bless those leaving home at this time of year. May they find a new wisdom and benefit from the opportunity to become everything God calls them to be.
