Sunday 20 November
Feast of Christ the King
2 Samuel 5:1-3; Ps 122; Colossians 1:12-20; Luke 23:35-43
Praise the KIng!
There is so much to love in today’s scriptures, especially in the reading from Paul’s letter to the Colossians. It prompts us to burst into praise of Christ our King. Do you feel that?
There is the promise of Paradise, as promised to St Dismas, the good thief, on Calvary. As Paul writes: ‘and all things to be reconciled through Him and for Him …. When He made peace by His death on the cross.’ Pray the words of the criminal, altered by the fact that Jesus is now in His kingdom: ‘Jesus, remember me in your kingdom.’
