Faithfulness and endurance

There is a temptation to think the end is coming as Jesus prophesied; nation fights nation, earthquakes, plagues and famines abound, and Christians are persecuted. But has anything changed over the millennia since Jesus ascended? There are no fearful sights or great signs from Heaven that I know of. So all we can do is to remain faithful to Christ and endure whatever comes.

Lord, may the persecuted in the world be aware that you are with them as you promised.
