Zacchaeus and Jesus

We pause with the beautiful words from Wisdom: ‘You spare all things because all things are yours, Lord, lover of life, you whose imperishable spirit is in us all.’ Then we move on to Luke and become like Zacchaeus, longing to glimpse Jesus. What happens? Jesus comes to us, smiling. ‘I want to go home with you,’ he says. Home? We can’t believe it. But it is true. Where we are, Christ Jesus wants to be.
