God’s work of art

Today’s readings claim us all as God’s work of art, created through love. Let us think about that. We can imagine walking into God’s gallery and seeing ourselves, lots of beautiful little paintings, crowded together on the walls. Then, in another room, we expect to see really big canvases like St Teresa of Avila. Is that it? No, I don’t think so. I believe we are all the same size in God’s eyes, infinitely beautiful, infinitely cherished. As a wise man once said, ‘Each soul is God’s favourite.’
