Be patient and trust God

It can be when we’re praying for the pain and sorrow that hangs so heavily on ourselves and others that we may find ourselves asking “What’s the point? Suffering continues, injustice is rife. Why doesn’t God listen?” Jesus explains why this is the case when he says “… in gathering weeds you root up the wheat with them … at harvest time I will tell the reapers to separate the wheat from the weeds.”

Dear God, help me to be patient as your will unfolds. Bless and comfort all those suffering, especially those who most need your mercy and guide all those who are working to relieve their distress.
