The Trinity of God, self and others

In a spiritual sense, we have a richness of family. Brothers and sisters in faith. Abraham, our father in faith. Our Lord – friend, brother, son of the Father; the Holy Family itself; our communities of faith; all those we love; and of course, our earthly parents and siblings, children and extended families, ancestors and unborn children. We cannot exclude our families from our relationship with God, any more than we can exclude God from our relationships with our families. It isn’t “all about us.” This isn’t Jesus’ way at all. We have to be inclusive.

Heavenly Father, may I always be mindful of the trinity of God, self and others and put this first as I seek to do your will.
