The narrow path

The prophet Amos condemns Israel for its greed, which is sucking the poor dry. The rights of ordinary people are being trampled underfoot by the rich and powerful. But the day of reckoning is coming and, on that day, the Lord will crush the proud. But following God’s way is not easy. We must follow wholeheartedly. And, in this life, there is no guarantee of security. To follow Christ is to walk the narrow path. We must choose either to walk the broad road of personal self-interest or the narrow path of service.
