Committed in love

Peter Chanel was the first Marist saint and the first martyr of Oceania. By human standards he didn’t have a successful time in Futuna – all the success came after his death. But what he did have was a great love for the people he was sent to live with and minister to and a total commitment to trying his best to do what was asked of him. What is God asking of me? Do I have the love and the commitment to be an effective witness to him regardless of whether or not I seem to be successful?
