Total commitment

As we know, it’s not easy at times being a disciple of Jesus. So much of what society values and praises is at odds with the Gospel. We can find ourselves wondering how can anyone truly be a follower of Jesus in today’s world. And the reality is that, left to ourselves, we too might go away from Jesus. To be a disciple is to accept the invitation the Father gives us. Following Jesus is not a matter of intellectual assent but of total commitment. Let’s today renew our own personal commitment to Jesus.
