The God of surprises

The early disciples understandably feared and avoided Saul. He was a man of single-minded determination intent on wiping out the early Church. And yet God spoke to him and brought about a complete conversion in his life. Sometimes we fall into the same trap as Ananias – we are sure we know who God will use and who he will not. And so we don’t allow ourselves to be surprised or to have our eyes opened. Who and what might God use to speak to me today? What surprise does he have in store for me?
