Come as You Are

Just as Peter was called to follow the Lord, so are we. Just as Peter felt unworthy to serve the Lord, so can we.( I certainly feel unworthy to write these Reflections). Just as Peter considered he lacked the qualities needed to follow Jesus, so can we. But Jesus wanted Peter just as he was. He wants us in the same way. No pre-conditions. No “ifs,” no “buts.” “Come as you are, that’s how I want you”. To which we can only reply: “Well, okay then, Lord, if you really insist.”
