Be prepared

Today we have another warning about being ready for the coming of the Son of man. Each day we are free to choose either to believe in God or to deny him. Should we offend, then through Jesus, we have the opportunity to receive pardon for our sins and healing for our minds and hearts. Matthew 25:1-13 reminds us to be ready - “Stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour” while Thomas a Kempis also adds a warning - “You should so master yourself in every act and thought as if you were about to die this very day.” Lord should I offend give me the courage to ask for your pardon so that I will be ready for your coming.
