True love

The golden rule of Mark, chapter 12 goes to the heart of our Christian faith. As God is love, we too are called to live lovingly as fully as we can in our own lives. This love however is not just about an emotion. Jesus says it should be expressed in every aspect of our lives – heart, soul, mind and strength. It should be shown to everyone, God, ourselves and others. We all find this difficult, and in lots of ways we don’t measure up to what Jesus asks of us. That’s okay, we should just keep trying to do what we can.
