Sunday 10 May

Sixth Sunday of Easter

Acts 10:25-26, 34-35, 44-48, Ps. 98 1 John 4:7-10, John 15:9-17

Food for the Journey

This Sunday’s Gospel passage is like a sandwich: two pieces of bread – ‘top’ ‘This is My commandment – love one another,’ ‘bottom’ ‘What I command you is to love one another.’

And the two fillings: ‘No one can have greater love than to lay down his life for his friends’ and ‘I call you friends… you are my friends.’ Very nourishing and sustaining!

Our Lady of the Southern Cross, pray for us.
