Saturday 9 May
Acts 16:1-10, Ps, 100, John 15:18-21
I have chosen you
In the reading from Acts Paul and Timothy are on a journey visiting one town after another (and seven regions and towns get mentioned in Greece). Paul and Timothy had been chosen, and they strove together to gather many people into the Lord’s flock. They did this aware of Jesus’ words: “A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you too.” So courage and fidelity have always been present in the Church.
Mary, comforter of the afflicted, pray for us.
