Acts 8:26-40, Ps 66; John 6:44-51

There for others

Today’s reading can be viewed from both sides – Philip’s and the Eunuch’s. For Philip, the Holy Spirit is directing his actions very explicitly, and he seems very in tune with God’s will. For the Eunuch, Philip’s presence changes his life and that of his family forever. Philip is able to break open the word and then be the minister of baptism in the name of Lord. Are there moments in your life when you have been Philip or when a Philip has helped you? Thank God for both.
