“One of you will betray me”

When we hear “one of you will betray me,” we immediately think of Judas not ourselves. But the disciples looked at each other wondering who it might be. In Eucharist we receive bread from the hand of Jesus like Judas. Jesus hands himself over to us; becomes vulnerable in and for us. Peter disowns Jesus before the night ends. Are you sometimes tempted to hide your faith or love for Jesus? Each of us fails as a disciple while God’s love never fails. We pray to persevere in faith, humbly confess our sins and trust God’s forgiveness in Christ.
