Numbers 21:4-9, Ps. 102, John 8:21-30

O Lord hear my prayer and let my cry come to you.

Have you ever lost patience with God in difficult circumstances? Anguish doesn’t separate us from God. Prayer is honest relationship grounded in God’s unrelenting commitment to us. Once we learn to speak honestly with (and especially listen to) God, we can share with Him whatever we struggle with and everything we’re grateful for. St Jean Vianney reminds us, “Man has a beautiful office, that of praying and loving. Prayer is nothing else than union with God.” Connecting to God in prayer opens the channel through which His grace can reach us and his presence guide us in every situation.
