Each to Our Own Tasks

Instead of feeling miffed that his followers were leaving him for Jesus, John was happy in the knowledge that he had accomplished the task that God had given him. Each of us are also given tasks, according to our talents and opportunities, for the building of God’s Kingdom. We are never in competition with others when doing what God has asked us to do. God doesn’t compare my work with others. Nor should I. We just each do what God has asked us to do to the best of our ability.
