Wisdom

Simeon and Anna, were two wise elderly people. They spent a great deal of time in the temple. They recognised the tiny baby as the deliverer of Israel. He was the promised one. He would set the Jews free from slavery. But many would not recognise Him, and His mother’s heart would be pierced by His suffering. What a good thing we cannot see into the future. If we live our daily lives, coping with what turns up, the Lord will not burden us with more than we can tolerate.
